Baking Bread: SurvivalWoman Bakes Bread and So Should You
There is something cathargic about making bread but these days, who has the time to spend hours tending and
kneading dough?
A number of years back I discovered how to make artisan style breads the easy way. I came
upon this method quite by accident while browsing You Tube. Who would have thought? In Artisan Bread in
Five I learned how to make a delicious loaf truly - in just five minutes a day. The way it is done is to mix
up a large batch of dough in a bucket and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. On bread making
day, take off a grapefruit sized chunk and spend about 30 seconds shaping the ball and bake.
Ummmm . . . the only problem with this is that it is so delicious, you may want to eat the whole darn thing in
once sitting.

The book that started it all. A decent loaf costs about fifty cents to make using this
method. Why pay $4, $5 or even $6 a loaf at the store?
